The new EMS manufacturing plant in China was recently awarded its certificate of compliance to the ISO9001:2000 and the GB/T 19001-2000 Quality Management Standards (GB/T 19001-2000 is the China equivalent standard to ISO9001:2000). A team from the China Quality Certification Centre performed a three-day audit at the EMS facility in early July, and the certificate was issued in mid-August. The EMS plant is located in Baoying County, Jiangsu Province, in eastern China.
The Baoying facility, which began initial production in early 2007, was designed from the inception with the highest levels of quality in mind. “Quality is one of the cornerstones of the EMS global business model,” noted Dominick J. Archino, vice president of strategic business development. “Our markets demand quality and our customers expect quality in everything we do.”
“Receipt of this certificate is confirmation that the product we deliver to our customers is manufactured according to identical quality standards and practices in North America and Asia,” he continued. “Congratulations go to the entire EMS China and EMS Attleboro team that contributed great effort to earn this certification.”
