Why we're the #1 provider of clad metals
Diffusion alloying, improved processing and alloy performance.

Clad metals can sometimes solve “impossible” processing problems. High aluminum stainless steel for catalytic converter foil is notoriously brittle and expensive to process. EMS Diesel Foil solves this problem because it is processed as ductile aluminum clad stainless steel, then diffusion alloyed in situ during catalytic converter production. The process makes possible higher aluminum content yielding ultra-thin foil with improved oxidation resistance. Clad processing flexibility has allowed development of materials designed specifically for heavy duty diesel engine and close coupled automotive applications.
